We LOVE old black & white snapshots from the 20's - 50's that tell a story in a single image. Some of the greatest photos are just calling out for a little phrase or caption. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and the good ones hold true to this statement.
In the digital age of quick text messages and rushed emails, a good old fashioned note, especially a handwritten one, is a rare and special treat. Letter writing is a lost art which we want to bring back in style. It's one way to show gratitude in a very busy world.
Picking up an old letter from a friend or loved one and recognizing that person's handwriting brings you that much closer to the past. Things we write in cyberspace are so easily deleted and forgotten. In this day and age, a personal note card is something that people really feel is special. Many have saved notes and letters over the years. It's like part of that person is still there with you.
